Who Is Ariel, And How Can What He Says Be True?
I have been a successful DJ and record producer for most of my life, and at the age of 37, my health literally collapsed.
Up till then I had been eating the standard western diet, and I believed and trusted the mainstream nutritional approach. You know the one that says meat and dairy are good for you? That one…
Obviously, my body didn’t agree, and I got really sick. I developed arteriosclerosis, widespread joint and back pain, peripheral neuropathy, and a plethora of diseases, which crippled my health.
I was also suffering from various allergies, regular indigestion, dizziness, and ear infections, which would last for months at the time.
When I tried to quit smoking in 2006, a friend of mine recommended that I read a book by Allen Carr. I was so intrigued by Carr’s philosophy that I’ve decided to put my music career on hold and study natural health, which I have done for over 6 years.
Early in my education, I was shocked to discover that contrary to popular opinion, the workings of our health have almost nothing to do with what medicine or conventional wisdom have led us to believe.
I started applying the principles I learned to my health and I started to heal myself.

An Intimate Interview With Dr. Keki Sidhwa

He has lectured extensively in Europe, India, America and Great Britain where he now resides. I'm still reading your book I'm going through fairly slowly so I can retain the information better and start trying the recommendations as I'm going through. So far I'm hooked!
I have started following your recommendations by having local fresh organic fruit for breakfast (I get a fruit and veg box delivered). Then during the morning I make a huge smoothie with loads of greens and fruit sometimes with some oats in it. I'm then trying to eat fresh fruit for the rest of the day until dinner time but I usually supplement with some seeds and dried fruit as well.
I haven't started experimenting with raw evening meals yet as our house is in a state of flux - we don't have a kitchen at the moment due to an extension being built. I'm going to start when I get my new kitchen in place and treat myself to a Vitamix to help!
I have to say I'm absolutely amazed at how different I feel after just a few weeks. I feel so full of energy I've entered a half marathon and have started the training plan (this was something I always wanted to do but never thought I'd be able to) now I feel that it's achievable! I've upped the yoga and have been going out doing different things - Ariel yoga for one LOL! I'm able to concentrate better at work and can work faster and more efficiently. I was having mood issues and flushes due to the menopause, I still get hot from time to time but it's much less in frequency and intensity. I'm sleeping better because of this. The mood swings are almost gone.

Thanks to your book, I finally understand why:
- Until now I wasn't eating enough calories (only 1400). What I thought was detox effects (fatigue, depression) was, in fact, a lack of energy because I wasn't eating enough. I have increased the amount of food as you advised and I feel so much better.
- Also, I wasn't eating enough green leaves. When I read your "at least two lettuce heads a day", I realised my mistake.
- The chapter about addiction is very helpful. It changed my perspective on what I thought was an addiction to junk food. Actually, this is just my body in pain from previous junk food ingestion. The first view seems hopeless while the second gives the solution: if I stick to this diet, the body pain and depression will just disappear and that's it!

It is so easy to digest. I couldn't wait until I'd finished reading it all to try out the salad dressings. Wow, so easy and quick to prepare. I have yet to make a raw dinner recipe. But looking at them they don't phase me as I don't like spending a long time preparing food. I have not felt the same discomfort in my gut since following your suggestions. I also had peripheral neuropathy in 2015, from taking a common antibiotic. I used a vegan diet initially and then 90% raw as the nutritional foundation of my recovery.
